Residence Inn by Marriott Rocky Mount

I booked the Residence Inn in Rocky Mount, NC somewhat reluctantly because I had read several negative reviews. I’m glad I decided to give it a chance—I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and well equipped, with everything I needed for a comfortable 3-night stay. The linens were fresh, the bathroom and kitchen area were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the overall condition of the room felt well cared for. While the decor is definitely dated, it didn’t matter much to me because the cleanliness really stood out—from the room itself to the common areas and the grounds, which were also clean and maintained. I stayed here because I needed to be close to work during a snow storm, and this was a solid, dependable option when I needed it most. Breakfast was also well equipped with a good variety and was a nice bonus during bad weather. What really impressed me was that the hotel had a big pot of vegetable beef soup available for guests. With the snow storm and most restaurants closed, that was such a thoughtful touch—and honestly, it hit the spot.

We had an issue with a booking platform to reserve a room here, and we thought we were never gonna get our room. THANK GOODNESS we had Tiana on staff. She handled everything so well, made sure we were able to get a room, and truly cared for us and our comfort. SHE is definitely the best part about this hotel! Thank you so much for helping us figure out our room situation! Room is clean and very nice! Will have to stay again.

Very nice and clean! Spacious rooms with kitchen and sofa. Outback and Texas Steakhouse within 5 minutes walking. Very convenient off the highway. Nice man at the front desk too. Thank you.

Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. I like a good coffee to start my day and they have coffee but could make it a bit nicer. Would get a 5 other than these two items.

Clean room, nice friendly staff. Check in was made easy after traveling all day and getting in the middle of the night the desk person was friendly and quick. We where jot traveling with our dogs this time but it was nice to see that they are dog friendly. Thank you

Room was good, location was great, outdoor pool was empty. After a long day driving, I said out loud- the only thing I want to do when we arrive at the hotel is to go to the pool and relax. When we pulled up my husband could see it from the parking lot- “the pool has no water in it”. I thought he was pulling my leg! I was so disappointed that I couldn’t help but mention it to the gentleman at the front desk. I was told I could use the indoor pool at their sister hotel. No thank you. Again, very disappointing. Other than that, it was a good place to stay.

The only thing this place needs is an update with their beds. They are lumpy and not really up to Marriott standards. Otherwise, we had a good night. They are pet friendly, it’s very well lit outside to walk your dog at any time, and they had the bonfire pit up all night.

Great rooms for the price, and quiet. The breakfast was good. This is my go to place when we stop in Rocky Mount.
